It's pretty clear. Most of the NFL doesn't want the vaccine after the league announced their new rules last week. However, the CDC is doing everything imaginable to encourage the players to get vaccinated, even if it means dropping a bag of money.

According to TMZ Sports, the CDC has paid the NFL Alumni Association a whopping $3.5 million. According to the report, the deal was signed back in May. While the association isn't directly affiliated with the NFL, this is definitely a move that will catch the eye of many people in the league.

Cole Beasley has been one of the main figures who are absolutely furious about getting the vaccine and this will surely make him unhappy. DeAndre Hopkins meanwhile, threatened to retire after the NFL announced that if a player causes a COVID outbreak within his team, they would have to forfeit their next game which would ultimately result in a loss.

The Alumni Association consists of former NFL players who are pro-vax, with former Giants lineman Bart Oates serving as the president. Among other members are Franco Harris, Rod Woodson, and Harry Carson.

With COVID-19 cases on the rise across the United States, it's imperative that everyone gets vaccinated. CDC's latest move is a huge step in the right direction.
