Chad Johnson may nine years out of the NFL, but the legendary wide receiver is still finding a way to remain relevant in true Ochocinco form.

Johnson was present at Conor McGregor's press conference ahead of McGregor's UFC 246 bout with Donald Cerrone this weekend, and he wanted some gambling advice from the fighter.

“Saturday will be my first UFC match,” Johnson said, via ESPN. “I’m not a gambling man, but if there was an event where I would bet the house, it would be Saturday. I wanna know before I bet this money, how confident are you in Saturday’s fight?”

McGregor welcomed Johnson to the sport, and responded with this.

“I’m extremely confident if you can’t tell,” McGregor said. “I’m coming in with full preparation, full commitment and full confidence in my striking abilities and my shots. And who knows, maybe a submission? But, I’m going to be going for the knockout.”

Was that enough for Johnson to lay down a bet? We'll see.

Johnson played 11 seasons in the NFL, 10 of them coming with the Cincinnati Bengals and the other coming with the New England Patriots.

During his prime, Johnson was one of the league's best wide outs, making six Pro Bowl appearances and earning First-Team All-Pro honors twice.

The 42-year-old led the NFL with 1,369 receiving yards in 2006, but his best season came in 2005, when he hauled in 97 receptions for 1,432 yards and nine touchdowns.

Of course, Johnson is also known for changing his last name to Ochocinco late in his career, but he went back to Johnson after retiring.
