Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. is set to hit free agency next month and will be one of the top defensive backs available when he does.

But is there a chance that Harris returns to the Broncos? Harris says that “if they want me back, then I'll be back,” but he seems to think Denver will be moving on.

“But I don’t know. I think that’s the direction right now,” Harris said Monday on 104.3 The Fan, via Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. “I think everybody deserves to see what they’re worth, and I deserve it at this point. I think I worked my tail off for nine years, I gave the city every ounce of effort that I could give and, shoot, it’s time to see what everybody else thinks about me.”

The 30-year-old is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played every game and registered 56 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and six passes defended.

Harris, who played his collegiate football at the University of Kansas, went undrafted back in 2011 but ultimately landed with the Broncos as a free agent.

He appeared in every contest during his rookie season, finishing with 71 tackles, a pick, a fumble recovery and six passes defended.

Harris then made three straight Pro Bowl appearances between 2014 and 2016, also earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2016 after totaling 63 tackles, a couple of interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and 11 passes defended.

The Bixby, Ok. native made one more Pro Bowl in 2018.

Of course, Harris' most memorable moment in the Mile High City came in February 2016, when he was a part of a dominant Denver defense that won a Super Bowl.
