Former NFL running back Chris Johnson has a ton of time on his hands like most of us and that's led him to reflect on some of the decisions in his career. On Monday night, Johnson shared his regret for joining the New York Jets prior to the 2014 season.

Back in 2014, Johnson was a free agent, having spent his first six seasons with the Tennessee Titans. While playing for the Titans, Johnson compiled six straight 1,000-yard seasons. That includes the 2009 season where he totaled 2,509 yards from scrimmage — an NFL record that still stands today.

After his time in Tennessee, Johnson was given the choice to join the Jets or the Baltimore Ravens. At the time, both the Jets and Ravens were coming off 8-8 seasons.

During the 2013 NFL season, New York had just finished their first season with Chris Ivory as their starting running back. On the other hand, Baltimore was getting ready to part ways with Ray Rice. Nevertheless, Johnson chose to join the Jets, immediately regretting his decision.

In his lone season with the Jets, Johnson rushed for only 663 yards and one touchdown on 155 attempts. Amid Johnson's struggles, the Ravens were able to have Justin Forsett scamper for 1,266 yards in 2014.

Above all, the Jets would finish the 2014 season with a 4-12 record, failing to make the playoffs for their fourth straight year. As for the Ravens, they posted a 10-6 record and advanced to the AFC Divisional Round. Even though it's been six years, it's interesting to think what could have been had Johnson joined Baltimore in 2014.
