The NFL released a statement on Saturday that made it seem as if Colin Kaepernick had canceled the workout. Instead, Kaepernick chose to move the location of the workout on short notice to provide some transparency. As a result, he was able to show a livestream of the workout that took place on Youtube.

Earlier in the week, the NFL extended the opportunity for Kaepernick to work out in front of any NFL teams who decided to show. The non-negotiable location was the Atlanta Falcons' facility and the time was set at 3 pm EST.

Just a half-hour before the workout was scheduled to begin, the NFL wouldn't allow media access into the workout. Therefore, the free-agent quarterback chose to relocate his workout to a venue that was over an hour away from the Falcons' facility.

Due to the relocation, there weren't many teams that made the trip from the original location to the new one.

Nevertheless, the free-agent quarterback was able to conduct a workout that was somewhat under his own terms.

When the NFL first offered the workout for Kaepernick, it seemed genuine until the details surfaced. The NFL didn't allow Kaepernick to negotiate any of the specifics of the workout. On top of that, they scheduled it at a peculiar time.

From the beginning, the NFL has been disorganized to supposedly give Kaepernick another chance to return to the league. The quarterback was in remarkable shape and his arm looked strong in his public workout on Saturday afternoon.

Despite being able to showcase that he can still throw, it remains to be seen if this workout will do what it was intended to do; give Colin Kaepernick a legitimate chance to make it back onto an NFL roster.
