The sports world is responding fast and furiously to Friday's developments surrounding former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt.

Everyone in the NFL is undoubtedly talking about the magnitude of Hunt's situation, which led to the 2017 rushing yards leader being released from the organization.

Someone else that has joined the conversation in hopes of turning it into a learning experience for others is two-time Super Bowl champion offensive lineman Damien Woody, who currently serves an analyst for ESPN.

Woody offered his own passionate thoughts on the matter, and he certainly hopes that all players around the league will pay attention to his words of his advice.

Here's what he had to say in a video on Twitter:

“Like I tell a lot of these guys, when you're in these types of situations, walk away. Walk away. It's not worth it.

You're talking about a young man that had his whole career in front of him – one of the most dynamic running backs in the National Football League. And in that one moment of truth, let his emotion get the best of him.

It's a privilege to play in the National Football League. It's not a right. And too many times, a lot of these young men don't understand that.”

Hunt is currently on the Commissioner's Exempt list, and it's unknown if or when he'll return to playing football.

Meanwhile, his former team must now endure a weekend of distractions and controversy before taking on the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
