Deion Sanders is the first defensive back to be named to the NFL 100's All-Time Team, according to NFL.com. Sanders, otherwise known as “Neon Deion,” or “Prime Time,” highlights the list of the NFL's greatest defensive backs of all time; highlights aren't anything new to him.

A Hall of Famer, Sanders ushers in the secondary. Twelve more defensive backs will join him, including six cornerbacks and six safeties. The announcements will be on Friday at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network, which will be hosted Rich Eisen and will have features including Bill Belichick and Cris Collinsworth.

Considered to be one of the most dynamic athletes ever to don an NFL uniform, Sanders turned the cornerback position into one of the NFL's premier ones. If he was playing, you were watching.

Sanders entered the league as the No. 5 overall pick of the 1989 NFL Draft. In his first season with the Atlanta Falcons, he tallied five interceptions and a punt return touchdown. That rookie year was only a foundation of what would turn to be one of the NFL's most celebrated careers.

In 1994, Sanders joined the San Francisco 49ers, who he would win a Super Bowl with. In the next season, he won another Super Bowl, however, with a twist: as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Florida State product played with five teams throughout his career, being the Falcons, 49ers, Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens. In doing so, he tallied 53 interceptions, 10 defensive touchdowns, eight Pro-Bowl nods, nine first-team All-Pro appearances, and the 1994 Defensive Player of the Year honor.

It's clear as day that Sanders is deserving of his placement on the team.
