Since being released by the Dallas Cowboys in mid-April, former Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant has remained afloat in the free agent market this offseason. There has yet to be any significant interest in his services around the league aside from the Baltimore Ravens putting out an offer on the table for him.

However, it appears that this situation will continue to persist for at least a couple more weeks as Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network is reporting that Bryant is expected to stay in the open market at least through the start of training camp later this month.

The 29-year-old doesn't appear to be in any hurry to find his next landing spot as he is willing to filter through what he believes will be the best choice for him in this next chapter of his career.

This time of the year, teams are going through the process of feeling out there teams to see what they exactly have to work with on the field with their rosters. This will give them a chance to truly know if Bryant could be a valuable addition to the mix given what he brings to the table.

There have been notable struggles over the last three years with his performance on the field beyond just the numbers as he has had problems gaining consistent separation from defenders.

This has led to the growing notion that possibly his best days could behind him off that inability in his game At the same, it could be a huge opportunity to show that he still has plenty left in the tank to play at an elite level by recapturing his Pro Bowl form.

Bryant has a situation in front of him that could see him get things back on track wherever he eventually lands this offseason.
