The NBA season may be suspended indefinitely, but that doesn't mean that players can't appreciate the game of another. That's exactly what Dez Bryant did when he rained praise on Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant.

The former Dallas Cowboys star took to Twitter to rain praise on Morant. He believed that he's on his way to becoming a legitimate star for the Grizzlies. he even made the bold move of comparing him to two of the greatest players fans of today have seen in a while.

It's quite understandable why he would compare the explosive rookie out of Murray State to two offensive greats. AI, Allen Iverson, was one of the most gifted scoring point guards the league has seen over the past three decades, and his dribbling and athleticism won plenty of fans over with his play. His scoring instinct and competitive fire have also made his comparison to Kobe Bryant a no-brainer. He's easily a big favorite to win Rookie of the Year over New Orleans Pelicans power forward Zion Williamson.

However, some are brushing off the big comparison Dez Bryant made for the rookie. Many think that while Morant has put on an impressive rookie campaign, he has still not done enough to warrant such a comparison. Both Kobe Bryant and Iverson were fantastic ballers who dictated how the game was happening. While Morant is an outstanding rookie, there's still a ways to go before he reaches the levels these two players set out.

While Morant probably knows more than anyone that he still has a lot to prove before he has the right to put himself in the same breath as those players, he's more than thankful that Bryant thinks highly of him. He responded to Bryant's love by sending his own.
