Another familiar face is trying to make it back to the NFL once again. Long-time Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant aims to pick up where he left off from a short stint with the New Orleans Saints in 2018. He's rumored to be in talks with the Baltimore Ravens, among other teams.

NFL insider Josina Anderson reported the rumors on Twitter:

The former Oklahoma Sooner was seen as one of the best wide receivers in the 2010 NFL Draft. After dropping because of character concerns, the Dallas Cowboys traded up with the New England Patriots, moving from the 27th to the 24th position to select Bryant.

He immediately made an impact on the team as he ended his rookie campaign with an inclusion in the NFL All-Rookie Team for the 2010 season. Bryant eventually became a full-fledged starter in his sophomore season after the departure of Cowboys wideout Roy Williams.

Bryant's development went on an uptrend as he bagged consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 2013 to 2014. He was also named as a first-team All-Pro member and the NFL receiving touchdowns leader in 2014.

Dez Bryant went on to his third trip to the Pro Bowl in 2016 as a replacement for Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones. The Cowboys then released Bryant in April 2018 after eight seasons with the team.

On November 7, 2018, nine weeks into the 2018 season, Bryant agreed to a bargain one-year, $1.25 million deal with the New Orleans Saints. However, he tore his achilles tendon during team practice just two days after signing his contract.

In October 2019, Bryant stated that he was going to rehabilitate for his injury but he has yet to sign with a team since then. He has accounted for a total of 7,459 receiving yards on 531 receptions and scored 73 touchdowns throughout his nine-year career thus far.

The potential signing of Dez Bryant will give reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson another option for the offense' aerial attack. An already-stacked Ravens offense will be dangerous for the rest of the league. The following weeks will see if Bryant's comeback season will eventually be a reality.
