Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is going to be busy auditioning for a job soon. The veteran cornerback is scheduled to work out for the Seattle Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders in the next few days, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Seahawks have held strong interest in Rodgers-Cromartie and had originally scheduled a visit last week only for it to be rescheduled due to a family matter, per Josina Anderson of ESPN.

Rodgers-Cromartie, 32, spent the past four seasons with the New York Giants before getting released this offseason. He played 15 games (six starts) last season, as he had 48 tackles, one pass defended, and no interception.

He garnered interest from the likes of the Saints and Redskins, but he was unable to land a deal. Apart from the Seahawks and Raiders, the Chargers have also expressed interest in the veteran corner.

Rodgers-Cromartie would be an interesting addition to a Seahawks team that’s rebuilding its secondary after the dismantling of the Legion of Boom. The Seahawks currently have the likes of Byron Marshall, Justin Coleman, Shaquill Griffin, Dontae Johnson, and Nieko Thorpe at the cornerback spots.

As for the Raiders, their cornerback depth chart has also undergone quite a transformation. They’ve already added several veterans in Leon Hall, Rashaan Melvin, and Shareece Wright as they look to improve from last season’s disappointing pass defense.

Gareon Conley, last year’s first-round pick, is expected to be a key part of that secondary. However, he has failed to stay on the field and is currently dealing with a hip strain.
