After the Kansas City Chiefs managed to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, President Donald Trump congratulated them on his official Twitter account.

The initial tweet by Trump went a step above congratulating just the Chiefs and their fans. Instead, he also mentioned ‘the Great State of Kansas' as opposed to the more popular attribution of Missouri.

As one might expect, this didn't go unnoticed. People were quick to correct Trump for saying ‘Kansas' as opposed to ‘Missouri.'

“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game, and a fantastic comeback, under immense pressure. You represented the Great State of Kansas and, in fact, the entire USA, so very well. Our Country is PROUD OF YOU!” Trump wrote.

Trump quickly deleted his original tweet and re-posted it by saying he is proud of the ‘Great State of Missouri' this time.

“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game and a fantastic comeback under immense pressure. We are proud of you and the Great State of Missouri. You are true Champions!”

The Super Bowl was a fascinating display that featured Patrick Mahomes becoming the youngest player in NFL history to win both the league MVP and become a Super Bowl champion. He is quickly building an impressive resume that could one day rival the greatest players to ever to do it.

This was also the first time Andy Reid managed to win a Super Bowl in his NFL coaching career. He came close with the Philadelphia Eagles but never managed to get over the hump.

The Chiefs will look to defend their title in 2020.
