Former Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is set to test the market as a free agent this offseason. It appears he has already garnered interest from both the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints.

There are a number of teams expected to be in the market for a solid pass rusher like Ezekiel Ansah in free agency.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he is expected to visit Buffalo and New Orleans:

The prospect of Ansah meeting with either of these teams should come as no surprise. Both the Bills and Saints are in desperate need of some help up front this offseason. They will try to get a head start on fortifying their defensive line in free agency.

Ansah is coming off a bit of a down year. He finished the 2018 campaign with 11 tackles and four sacks in just seven games after dealing with a lingering shoulder injury. As a result, Detroit ultimately decided to part ways with him this offseason.

Despite his disappointing season, he has still proven himself as an extremely capable pass rusher.

The former fifth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft has already accumulated 219 tackles 48 sacks, and ten forced fumbles thus far in his career. It seems the Bills and Saints are hoping that Ansah can help to fill their voids up front.

Regardless, it is safe to say that both of these teams will look to bring him in on a prove-it deal to show he can still be effective.
