The Tiger King documentary on Netflix has given people some entertainment amid the coronavirus pandemic. But that may not be the only alleged murder-for-hire plot that draws attention during the quarantine. According to TMZ Sports, former NFL running back Chris Johnson is being accused of murder-for-hire.

In the report, TMZ Sports said that there are court documents that accuse Johnson of the plot. The accusations stem from a situation that took place in 2016, which resulted in the shooting deaths of two people.

Back in 2015, nearly a month after his release from the New York Jets, Johnson was shot in the shoulder. When the former running back was shot, it was concluded that it was gang-related. Also, it was discovered that there were likely two men involved in shooting Johnson.

However, just a year after the incident involving Johnson, the two men were killed by a man named Dominic Bolden. After a few years of investigating the matter, there are assumptions that Johnson hired Bolden to murder the two men that shot at him.

Currently, there aren't any charges being filed against the former first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans. That doesn't mean that there won't be any charges that come from the situation in the near future.

Over his playing career, Johnson played with the Titans, Jets and the Arizona Cardinals. Johnson recently shared on Twitter that he regrets not joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2014, instead of the Jets. Recently he also decried not being on the NFL All-Decade team for the 2010s. Now, he has something far more serious to worry about.
