Former San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore is preparing for a boxing match with former basketball player Deron Williams on December 18. Even in the midst of training for the fight, NFL football is still very much on Gore's mind.

In fact, the ageless wonder has a bold Super Bowl plan that just might work out.

That's right, Frank Gore is trying to pull a DeMarcus Cousins and latch onto a title-contending team. The 38-year-old running back sits third all-time on the NFL's rushing yard list, has made it to five Pro Bowls and led the NFC in rushing yards back in 2006 as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.

That's quite the list of accolades but it's clearly missing one thing- a ring. Gore has never won the Super Bowl, though he did play in one against the Baltimore Ravens in 2014.

Perhaps Frank Gore is getting into the boxing ring as a way to prepare for the potential hits he could take down the stretch carrying the ball up the gut for an NFL team. Either way, one has to admire his spontaneous, eff-em-I-might-just-go-play-football-again idea while training for a sport he's never even competed in.

Gore could be 75 years old and still probably get an NFL team those hard-earned, four yards downfield with a cloud of dust to boot. Whether he boxes as his new career or plays as an NFL running back again, Gore will continue to impress fans.
