Jameis Winston may be looking for his second NFL home, but the former No. 1 overall pick is apparently staying busy. Not only that, but Winston is helping the community and general public in the process.

While teamming up with Dr. David Kelley, Winston has set up a free, nationwide COVID-19 hotline. If people choose to call into 844-TEST-COVID, they will receive a free assessment. In addition, they'll receive general guidance regarding any potential next steps in the process.

“I believe it’s important to come together and support one another in time of need,” Winston recently explained via social media, as transcribed by NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. “We want to give every family rapid responses to give them peace of mind from the safety of their own home.”

The 26-year-old Winston is now gearing up to play for another NFL franchise. That's because the Buccaneers allowed him to walk as a free agent for the first time in his career. Originally selected by Tampa Bay with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Winston infamously captured the coveted Heisman Trophy during his collegiate playing days.

However, even in the midst of putting up some seriously gaudy numbers during his five-year stint with the Buccaneers, Winston just simply could not stop turning the football over en route to becoming a free agent this offseason.

It now remains to be seen as to where exactly Winston lands upon officially leaving Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers now employ former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady under center.
