The 2019 Pro Bowl is fast approaching. It will be the second year since the event was restored into a showdown between the NFC and AFC.

Once again, four legends will be present on the sidelines to serve as captains to their respective teams.

According to the NFL, these legends representing as Pro Bowl captains are Pro Football Hall of Famers in Emmitt Smith, Jim Kelly, and Brian Urlacher. DeMarcus Ware is not yet eligible for the Hall of Fame but will be a captain.

Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.  He was able to lead the team to eight playoff appearances with him behind center. Above all, he has appeared in four straight Super Bowls from 1991 to 1994. Kelly finished his career with a starters record of 101-59, 35,467 yards and 237 touchdowns with 175 interceptions per Pro Football Reference.

Smith is the league's all-time leading rusher with 18,355 rushing yards. He played for 15 years in the league with the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals. He is an eight-time Pro Bowler and a three-time Super Bowl champion. The best year of his career came in 1993 when he was voted the league's Most Valuable Player.

Urlacher was inducted into the Hall of Fame just last February. Considered as one of the best linebackers of all-time, he led the Chicago Bears defense to their successful run in the 2000s.  His career totals are 1,353 tackles, 41.5 sacks, 22 interceptions, and three defensive touchdowns.

Although not yet eligible for the Hall of Fame just yet, Ware is considered one of the best pass rushers in the 2000s and early 2010s. He has 658 tackles and 138.5 sacks. Ware is also a three-time First Team All-Pro, not to mention getting the nod for the Pro Bowl nine times.
