Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel's guest appearance at the Universiy of San Diego's Pro Day drew plenty of visitors. Manziel has been vocal about his comeback for a while now and is looking to take advantage of what could be his last opportunity to play in the NFL.

There has been some discussion surrounding whether or not the former Heisman Trophy winner could ultimately land on a team given his troubled past. According to Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman, he even acknowledged that this will be his last chance at a comeback:

“I let them know, ‘Hey, I gotta be selfish in what I’m doing,'” Manziel said. “I gotta do this for me. Listen, I’m not gonna block your number but if I don’t text you back and I don’t answer your calls, don’t be offended. I’ll call you when I get bored and I wanna say what’s up. But don’t invite me on any trips. Don’t tell me to go to Texas to go to [friggin’] Sixth Street. None of that.’ The people I know that are in my life that by no fault of their own are going to want to do something that I just don’t have the luxury of doing anymore. When I first got in the league, did I have some leeway? Sure I did, but I have exhausted all leeway and all second chances. This isn’t the second chance. This is the 35th chance. This is the last of the last chances to show people that I’ve made a drastic change in my life, and it’s for the better and I’m happy with where I’m at.

The Cleveland Browns selected Manziel with the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Aside from a few moments of promise, his tenure with the Browns ultimately ended following the 2015 NFL season due to several incidents off the field.

As a result, there has been some controversy regarding the attention he Manziel garnered at the recent Pro Day. There were reportedly at least 13 NFL teams in attendance to watch him throw.

Manziel had every chance to succeed in the NFL but instead chose to take those opportunities for granted. Meanwhile, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been allegedly blackballed for sparking player protests throughout the league. It is not difficult to pinpoint where the differences between these players' exits from the league are.

That said, it will be interesting to see if Manziel ultimately does end up on an NFL roster before Kaepernick does.
