Former NFL player Johnny Manziel last played for the Alliance of American Football last spring. However, the league folded in less than a full season.

Nonetheless, Manziel still has a desire to play football although he wants to play for a league that won't fold. Manziel was recently asked on Twitter if he would soon join the XFL.

Via Charean Williams of NBC Sports:

“ComebackSZN still alive if y’all ain’t know,” Manziel tweeted. “Just not playing for another league that’s going to fold on you midway through the season.”

“If I never pick up a ball again it’s all love,” Manziel tweeted. “I was the most lit, most relatable college football player to ever do it. Did things my way and made it way further than I ever could have imagined. The game gave me life and I’ll forever be grateful.”

The XFL could most certainly be an option for Manziel as the league is looking to “attract or cultivate star players that will compel fans to tune in.”

Manziel was drafted by the Cleveland Browns as the 22nd overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. The former Heisman Trophy winner went 2-6 in the eight games he started with the Browns. In 14 games, Manziel passed for 1,675 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions

The Browns decided two cut him after two years with the team as he was filled with drama and distractions.

Nonetheless, it'll be interesting to see what Manziel decides to with his football career. The XFL season started today.
