Former Green Bay Packers star and recent retiree Julius Peppers went on WFNZ's Wilson & Parcell, discussing a various number of football topics. Among them was Kyler Murray of Oklahoma State.

The two-sport phenom has been drafted by the Oakland Athletics in this past MLB draft. However, he made it publicly known this past week that he will be focusing on football. He is expected to go top 10 in the draft, a surefire lottery pick. His size, however, is lacking. He is quite under six feet tall, and it could impede his ability under center.

However, Peppers believes that he will know what to do when the time comes.

Peppers told WFNZ:

“I would just tell him to follow his heart, You're gonna get a lot of people in your ear saying ‘You should do this, you should do that'. He knows what's best for him. I would tell him to listen to the people close to him that have his best interests at heart. Sometimes you make a decision for other people, and ultimately it's you who has to live your life. So decide for yourself, and just follow your heart. Because no one else can tell you what to do in this type of situation.

Peppers retired as the NFL’s fourth all-time leader in sacks after 17 NFL seasons. He spent three in Green Bay from 2014-16.

Peppers racked up 104 tackles, 25 sacks, eight forced fumbles and two interceptions returned for a touchdown in 48 regular-season appearances with Green Bay. He was one of the best defensive players in the NFL
