Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt is not expected to be claimed on the NFL's waiver wire.

According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Hunt will likely go unclaimed once teams are eligible to pick up him up at 4 p.m. EST on Monday and become an unrestricted free agent.

The second-year back was let go by the Chiefs on Friday after TMZ released a video showing Hunt shoving and kicking a woman at a Cleveland hotel earlier in the year.

From Schefter:

“I don't think anyone claims him,” one general manager told ESPN.

Another GM told ESPN that there is “no chance” that Hunt gets claimed while a third GM said he “can't imagine” a team claiming Hunt, who was released Friday by the Chiefs after video surfaced earlier in the day that showed him shoving and kicking a woman in February.

“No way, I don't see it,” another NFL executive told ESPN.

Hunt is currently on the Commissioner's Exempt List, which prevents him from playing or attending any games until he is officially removed from it.

He had 181 carries for 824 yards and seven touchdowns this season while also racking up 26 receptions for 378 yards and seven scores. He was also the NFL's leader in rushing yards during his rookie season in 2017.

Hunt obviously played a huge role in the Chiefs' success, but now they'll turn to backup running back Spencer Ware to carry the load in hopes of making a run to the Super Bowl.
