The Pouncey twins have been through nearly everything together. They dreamed of playing in the NFL since they were kids. They finally realized that lifelong dream when they became first-round picks in succeeding drafts, with Maurkice going No. 18 in 2010 and Mike going No. 15 the year after. Now, the two seemingly inseparable brothers, who both played center, will close the NFL chapter of their lives at the same time. Friday, Maurkice Pouncey and Mike Pouncey announced their retirement from football at the age of 31 and revealed what's in store for the two of them in the future.

Maurkice wrote a sincere memo, thanking the Pittsburgh Steelers for everything the franchise did for him throughout his 11-year NFL career. Meanwhile, Mike sent his appreciation to both the Miami Dolphins, the team that took a chance on him, and the Los Angeles Chargers, where he spent the last three years of his career. Of course, the twins also gave a heartfelt message to their respective other halves and shared how they wouldn't have done what they accomplished had they not been by each other's sides throughout their careers.

Maurkice Pouncey spent his entire NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he made nine Pro Bowl appearances. He also made All-Pro five times in his career, three of which came as a First-Team member.

Meanwhile, Mike Pouncey made the Pro Bowl four times throughout his 10-year career, three of which came as a member of the Miami Dolphins.

Neither Pouncey twin reached the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl, but playing in the NFL and walking out at the same time is a big blessing in itself.
