New York sports talk show host Mike Francesa is no stranger to making headlines ā most of the time for all the wrong reasons. On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Rams advanced to Super Bowl LIII over the New Orleans Saints, thanks in part to some help from the officials. As a result, Rams running back Todd Gurley almost immediately posted an edited picture on social media of a jersey swap between him and an NFL referee ā which was not only funny in its own right but unfortunately quite accurate about how Sunday's controversial tilt between the Rams and Saints eventually played out.

Skip ahead to Monday, and the aforementioned Francesa was certainly not pleased with some of the actions that took place on Sunday in New Orleans. No, his unhappiness did not stem from Gurley posting the meme, but rather because Francesa that the photo of the NFL official and All-Pro rusher was real!

Just when it seemed impossible that Francesa and his program couldn't become any more cringeworthy, the veteran hot-taker has managed to up the ante yet again. Despite years of creating head-shaking headlines alongside head-scratching predictions, Francesa has now seemingly outdone himself during a time when idiotic content is created on an hourly basis.
