Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. declared for the 2019 NFL Draft on Monday via Twitter.

According to the Associated Press via ESPN, Haskins will be heavily touted and put on an incredible show throughout this past season. Haskins possesses the arm strength, accuracy, and build any team dream their next quarterback has.

“His sturdy, 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame, quick release and exceptional accuracy make him a top prospect. He smashed most Ohio State and Big Ten passing records, throwing for a nation-leading 50 touchdowns. He finished third in Heisman Trophy voting behind Oklahoma's Kyler Murray and Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa.”

Haskins threw for 50 touchdown passes, 4,831 yards, 70 percent completion rate, and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy this season. Haskins solidified his path to the NFL with an incredibly strong performance over Washington in the Rose Bowl.

“He was the MVP of the Rose Bowl Jan. 1, completing 25 of 37 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns in the finale for coach Urban Meyer before retirement.”

Haskins has a big body and can make throws from anywhere on the field. Early mock drafts had thought Haskins would declare for the draft while projecting him as a top-five pick. The team that most mock drafts have Haskins going to is the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he'll undoubtedly be an instant starter. Haskins would have a solid supporting cast with the Jags, who have a perennial problem at the quarterback position. Haskins could definitely be the answer that Jacksonville needs.
