Antonio Brown's trade request was finally honored by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the New York Giants surprised the league by getting ahead of one that might have come from Odell Beckham, Jr. Underrated free-agent talents like Tyrell Williams, Adam Humphries, and Jamison Crowder are already off the board of available free-agent wide receivers, too.

Where does that leave Golden Tate? According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the veteran receiver is receiving interest from a pair of traditional AFC powers, the Steelers and New England Patriots.

“One of the top receivers available right now. Obviously a big-name guy, traded from the Lions to the Eagles last year. Certainly has a lot of interest,” Rapoport said of Tate during a Thursday appearance on NFL Network. “I know of a couple teams that were at the least interested in potentially trading for him last year have some interest in him this year – Patriots would be one, Steelers would be another. At this point, still waiting to find his landing spot.”

Tate was traded from the Detroit Lions to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a third-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft midway through the 2018 season. He never quite lived up to the hype during his time in Philadelphia, though, finishing with 30 catches for 278 yards – averaging a substandard 9.3 yards per reception – and one touchdown in eight games.

It became clear the Eagles would be moving on from Tate earlier this week, when they traded for DeSean Jackson and decided to retain Nelson Agholor. Pittsburgh could certainly use some help at receiver after dealing Brown over the weekend, while the Patriots would make sense for Tate given their longtime ability to help wayward veterans rehabilitate their careers.
