There was initially some belief that Odell Beckham Jr. would sign with a new team on Wednesday, but then it came out that he was going to take some time before making his final decision. ESPN's Dianna Russini reported Thursday morning that Beckham would be waiting until after Sunday's games, and NFL Network's Ian Rapaport later explained why this makes sense.

Rapaport said that with teams now more focused on preparation for the upcoming Week 10 games, it makes more sense just to wait and see what happens this weekend. Even if Beckham still signed before this weekend, he probably wouldn't be able to play. Furthermore, something could happen this weekend that could change the situation for Beckham's suitors, with an injury perhaps leading to a better offer/role.

Here's Rap breaking it all down:

The Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots are all trying to secure Odell Beckham's services. The wide receiver evidently didn't get everything he was hoping for in an offer yet, so he's going to be patient and see if things change after these Week 10 games.

This strategy makes plenty of sense, as he wants to make sure he winds up in a good position after the debacle with the Cleveland Browns.
