Shannon Sharpe always has something to say. He didn't change his pattern Sunday. Former New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown unleashed a tweet storm on Sunday morning, lashing out against his critics following the controversial All-Pro wideout's release this week.

Brown, 31, tweeted he did not intend to return to the NFL following dismissals from the Patriots and earlier in September from the Oakland Raiders.

After tweeting he would not return to the NFL, Brown then shared screenshots of articles targeting other players and individuals accused of sexual assault and wrongdoing, including his former quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger, currently sidelined for the rest of the year with a season-ending elbow injury, and Hall of Fame tight end turned commentator Shannon Sharpe.

Brown later deleted his targeted tweets at Roethlisberger and Sharpe, but he called out the FS1 analyst due to Sharpe's own issues with sexual assault.

After a couple of hours, Sharpe finally answered Brown through—of course—Twitter, where he shared a photoshopped image of Brown.

The image features the seven-time Pro-Bowl wideout's face with the facial tattoos and distinct stylized multi-colored hair of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, a hip-hop artist currently entering a plea deal with authorities over armed robbery charges by naming other suspected gang members. 6ix9ine's alleged “snitching” over the past week has drawn the ire of the hip-hop community due to the unwritten rule of tattling, which Sharpe, 51, apparently is accusing of Brown doing via social media.

It's unclear what Brown's next professional steps will be, although he promised to not return to the NFL (he did not delete that tweet although he erased traces of his targeted attacks towards Sharpe, Roethlisberger, and Patriots team owner Robert Kraft). The NFL is currently investigating sexual assault claims against Brown.
