It has been nearly eight years since soon-to-be-inducted Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens last stepped on an NFL football field. In the time since then, he has remained active in keeping himself in tip-top shape despite any team voicing any amount of interest in acquiring his services.

However, Owens looks to still have the itch to keep his NFL career going as he stated his recent work with former UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen in his pre-draft workout with the Cleveland Browns has shown he still can play, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

“They . . . saw me run routes when they were in LA to workout Josh Rosen,” Owens said regarding Cleveland G.M. John Dorsey, coach Hue Jackson, and offensive coordinator Todd Haley. “They know I still got it.”

The 44-year-old is quite intent on showing that he can still play as he was unable to end his career on his own terms. In his last season back in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals making 72 catches for 983 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games played. The Bengals had chosen not to re-sign him after that season and he suffered a torn ACL in the offseason but no team chose to sign him once he recovered from the injury.

He did ink a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks in the 2012 offseason but the team chose to cut him during the preseason. Since then, there hasn't been any real interest in him that has not led to him officially retiring at any point. Regardless if Owens gets another chance to play, he has already cemented his legacy on the field.

In 16 seasons in the NFL, Owens put together an illustrious career that saw him earn six Pro Bowl selections, five First-Team All-Pro nods, and led the league in receiving touchdowns three times that he racked up playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Cincinnati Bengals.

He currently ranks second all-time with 15,934 receiving yards and his 153 receiving touchdowns rank third.
