The NFL has made the decision to hand a three-game suspension to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston for his alleged actions in groping a female Uber driver back in March 2016. This has seen a public statement being issued from Winston about the situation where he voiced a vague apology for putting woman involved in the matter in that position.

According to Tatal Ansari of Buzz Feed, the woman who has been identified as Kate has given her own public remarks about the entire ordeal that voiced her appreciation for the apology while acknowledging the investigative work from the NFL.

What should be noted is that Winston's apology had been included as part of the agreement he had with the league that led to the suspension being cut down from six to three games. There is no clarity in terms of what he's apologizing for in terms of airing his guilt for his alleged actions.

Despite that, Kate has taken the approach of using this situation as one that other women who have experienced this type of unacceptable behavior to step forward.

At the same time, she ended the statement with her own strife back at Winston by using his own words against him that have a demeaning tone to how girls should behave. All of this only paints the 24-year-old in a spot of this matter looking worse publicly on his end of things.

This should result in an increased level of scrutiny around any of his behavior off the field that could possibly see him receive a ban from the league if he once again violates the NFL's personal conduct policy.

More anything, the hope is that this situation brings more national attention to this serious matter that has become more prominently discussed in the country over the last few years.
