Veteran cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones is still searching for a new team after the Cincinnati Bengals opted not to pick up his option worth $5.5 million for 2018, making him a free agent. Jones also underwent surgery on his groin after the season, which has obviously been a huge factor why he’s still on the market.

But according to Jones, he’s now back to full strength following that injury and is already in contact with a few teams for his services.

“I had groin surgery the week after the Super Bowl,” Jones said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “I’m finally 100 percent from that, just got cleared by the doctors. Running full speed. Have been in contact with several teams, I expect it to pick up in the coming weeks.”

Jones, 34, also didn't rule out the possibility of returning to Cincinnati, where he has spent the last eight seasons. After being relatively durable for the past five years, he suffered an injury-plagued season in 2017 as he featured in just nine games due to the groin injury which sent him to injured reserve. He finished with a mere 23 total tackles, one interception, and four passes defended in those nine games.

It remains to be seen whether Jones will still be a starter next season given his advancing age. But teams are always looking to add more cornerback depth, which is likely why he has been in contact with a handful of teams. If he can prove his groin is fully healthy, he can be a good veteran corner that could prove to be handy for some team.
