Longtime Minnesota Vikings pass rusher Everson Griffen is now reportedly joining the once-heralded Dallas Cowboys after previously spending his entire NFL playing career as a member of the aforementioned NFC North franchise.

With several teams in the mix for Griffen's services this offseason, including the Vikings, Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans, it appears as though Dallas has ultimately come away with the veteran pass rusher ahead of the upcoming 2020 campaign.

According to a Wednesday evening report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Cowboys have agreed to sign Griffen, though the financial terms and length of the newly inked pact have yet to be reported.

As it stands today, the Seahawks and Titans both need some additional help with rushing the passer as Griffen was one of the few remaining high-profile free agents at such a position. Of course, the Seahawks and Titans seem to remain in the mix for former Houston Texans pass rusher and current unrestricted free agent Jadeveon Clowney, who spent last season in Seattle as a reunion remains possible.

On the other hand, Dallas has now secured yet another talented pass rusher as the NFC East division seems to be the Cowboys for the taking in 2020. With the arch rival Philadelphia Eagles serving as the only real competition in the NFC East this time around, the Cowboys will be looking to get after quarterback Carson Wentz with Demarcus Lawrence, Everson Griffen, Gerald McCoy, Aldon Smith, Tyrone Crawford and Randy Gregory—if he is ultimately reinstated by the league.
