Randy Gregory recently made the news cycle by sharing his desire to apply for reinstatement into the NFL. Now, Gregory may be joined by Martavis Bryant among players who hope to get back into the NFL.

According to both Dan Graziano and Ian Rapoport, Bryant has formally applied to the NFL for reinstatement. Bryant has been suspended indefinitely since this past December for violating his previous suspension last year.

Last year, Bryant began the season with the Oakland Raiders after being traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bryant started in two games but was suspended by the NFL soon after.

Bryant began his career with the Steelers after the team picked him in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. In his first two seasons, Bryant flashed a ton of potential in the Steelers' offense with 1,314 yards and 14 touchdowns.

In his second season, the athletic wideout was suspended the first four games of the season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Nevertheless, things seemed fine when Bryant returned in Week 6 after he recovered from his knee injury during his suspension.

In his first game back, Bryant had six catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Then, before the 2016 season kicked off, Bryant was handed his second suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Bryant was given a year-long suspension for his second offense.

His second suspension ended up being the last straw for Pittsburgh, which shipped him to Oakland. The gifted receiver spent one season with the Raiders but was suspended once again before the season ended.

Now, Bryant has apparently worked to improve his mental and physical health, in order to put himself in a position to return to the NFL. The NFL could decide to grant Bryant's request to be reinstated into the league. If that happens, his return to the field could be imminent.
