The Tennessee Titans have had a slew of players and staff members test positive for COVID-19 in the past week. In response to the increase in cases, the NFL and the NFLPA are investigating the Titans for possible protocol violations.

Following Tennessee's Week 3 bout with the Minnesota Vikings, news broke of Tennessee having multiple players and employees producing positive COVID-19 tests. As a result, the NFL forced the Titans and the Vikings to shut down their facilities for the time being.

While Minnesota has had negative tests throughout the week and were able to return to practice, Tennessee has continued to have cases pop up as the week has progressed. On Friday and Saturday alone, the Titans had five more players that tested positive for COVID-19.

Even on Sunday morning, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Titans have one player and a staff member that has tested positive. If two more employees of the team were to test positive, that would bring the total to 18 cases of COVID-19 for Tennessee.

Seeing that the Titans have gradually seen more cases transpire during the week, the league is looking into how it occurred. The NFL and the NFLPA have been working alongside Tennessee to look at videotapes and other resources to see if they failed to follow protocols.

In the event that the Titans didn't adhere to the league's guidelines, then the NFL would likely punish the team for their shortcomings. As Tennessee takes part in their bye week in Week 4, it remains to be seen how the outbreak began in the first place.
