The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts play in an inter-conference battle on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Buccaneers-Colts prediction and pick.

The Buccaneers and Colts will play Sunday after each getting a win in Week 11. The Colts surprisingly blew out the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo by a score of 41-15. Running back Jonathan Taylor had 5 touchdowns in the win. Tampa Bay got back on track after two straight losses in a Monday night victory over the New York Giants. It was the first win for the Buccaneers since October 24 vs. the Chicago Bears.

The Buccaneers come into this matchup as slight favorites on the road vs. a Colts team that has won five of their last six games. Indianapolis has been relying on Taylor and the running back as well as their defense over this 5-1 stretch. Tampa Bay stops the run well so this will be a strength on strength matchup when these teams meet this weekend.

Why The Buccaneers Can Cover The Spread

Tom Brady enters Week 12 second in the NFL in passing yards behind only Patrick Mahomes. Brady has 29 touchdowns to just eight interceptions this season, and will be in the mix for MVP. The 44-year old is the reason the Buccaneers can cover and win every time they step on the field. Leonard Fournette gives them a good punch in the run game, while Mike Evans and Chris Godwin continue to win matchups on the outside. Antonio Brown figures to be questionable for this game, as he did not suit up Monday vs. the Giants. Tampa Bay is also stout defensively, specifically vs. the run. The Buccaneers have the best run defense in the NFL so far this season, allowing just 78.4 yards per game.

The Buccaneers are 7-3, but just 4-6 vs. the spread this season. They are just slim favorites here, however. If they are able to get the win, they will obviously likely cover also.

Why The Colts Can Cover The Spread

The Colts have won six out of eight games after an 0-3 start. Both losses during that stretch were in overtime to very good teams, the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans. Jonathan Taylor is making his claim for best running back in the NFL each passing week, as the Indy offense has been fueled by Taylor both on the ground and as a receiver out of the backfield. Taylor has rushed for 100 yards in each of the Colts' last six wins, and was held under 100 in their last two losses. Given how strong the Buccaneers are against the run, it may be difficult for Taylor to reach 100 in this game. The Wisconsin product does come into this game on fire, however. Taylor has rushed for over 100 yards in three straight games, averaging 158 rushing yards per game over the stretch. The Colts are in sneaky spot here as a hot team that is also a home dog, but obviously winning or covering against Tom Brady and the reigning champs is easier said than done.

Final Buccaneers-Colts Prediction & Pick

Take the Buccaneers to cover and win this one over the Colts. Tampa Bay will be looking to ramp up into playoff mode with December around the corner, so it's hard not to expect them to take care of business vs. a team that relies heavily on the run game.
