We are right in the heart of the 2021 NFL season! The Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Washington Football Team on Sunday for Week 10. It's time to continue our NFL odds series with a Buccaneers-Washington Football Team Week 10 prediction and pick.

Tampa Bay is fresh off of a bye week in Week 9. They now will face a team they met in the first round of the 2020 playoffs last season. Washington is struggling to begin this year but does contain one of the tougher defenses in the NFL. This will be a big test for Tom Brady but he usually doesn't have any issues coming off a bye. The reigning Super Bowl champs are 6-2 on the season and will be in contention for the Super Bowl once again this year.

The Washington Football Team is also coming off a bye week. Their last game didn't go smooth at all as they lost to the Denver Broncos 17-10 on the road in Denver. Taylor Heinicke isn't playing at the elite level we've seen him in before. He will need to elevate his play in what will be one of the more difficult games on the schedule. They are 2-6 on the season and if they don't win this week and turn around their season, then that pretty much wraps up the WFT's chances for the playoffs.

Let's see how the bookmakers have set the Buccaneers-Washington Football Team odds for Sunday.

Why The Buccaneers Could Cover The Spread

This should be one of the easier games for the Buccaneers this season. Washington isn't at the level everyone expected them to be at this point in the season. Tampa Bay is 3-5 against the spread this year with Washington 1-7. Tampa Bay can cover this spread if Brady continues to light up the field. Antonio Brown could be back this week but even without him, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are playing extremely well. Both sides of the ball are dominant this year that should be enough to beat the WFT by 10 or more points. The matchup favors the Buccaneers in almost every facet of the game.

Why The Washington Football Team Could Cover The Spread

The Washington Football Team is unlikely to cover this spread, but here is how they can do it. The defense will need to step up big time and force turnovers against Brady and the Bucs' offense. The defensive line is filled with first-round draft picks and those men are going to need to disrupt the flow of the offense. If the d-line can get to Brady and shut down the run game, then this game will be a lot closer in the end. The offense is going to need to get Terry McLaurin the ball. He's a playmaking receiver that shows up in big moments.

Washington's best chance is to make this a low-scoring game and to keep Brady off the field. Time of possession will need to go in their favor if they want to have a chance late in the game. If the Bucs run up the score early, then this will have all the signs of a blowout.

Final Buccaneers-Washington Football Team Prediction & Pick

My prediction is that the Buccaneers will win this game by at least 10 points. Brady is almost impossible to beat coming off a bye week. They are also coming off a loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 8, so Brady will have that extra motivation for Week 10. 51.5 points is a lot for this type of matchup. Either they are expecting a Buc's blowout, or that this game will be a lot closer than we think. I disagree and think the over/under is a little high for this game. I don’t expect the WFT to score more than 21 points, so I'm taking the under for this game.

FINAL BUCCANEERS-WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM PREDICTION & PICK: Buccaneers -9.5 (-105) & Under 51 (-115)
