Week 13 of the NFL season is upon us! The Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears face off in an NFC matchup on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series with a Cardinals-Bears prediction and pick.

The Cardinals are fresh off of a bye week. That bye week certainly helped them because they are now the top seed in the NFL with a 9-2 record. They remain undefeated in the NFC West division and are also 6-0 on the road this year. Arizona has a +108 scoring differential and that is good for third in the NFL behind the New England Patriots (146) and Buffalo Bills (144). This is a very good team that will get even better with the return of MVP candidate Kyler Murray. It's not official that he returns against the Bears, though.

For more insight on the Cardinals-Bears matchup in Week 13, listen below:

The Bears are a very disappointing team this season. They barely escaped the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving and to be fair, they should've lost. The Lions continued to Lion and fell apart in a game they should've won. Head coach Matt Nagy seemed to have kept his job a little safer for now, but one thing is for certain and that is the Bears have a long way to go. Justin Fields is struggling big time and he will not play against the Cardinals with cracked ribs.

Here is how FanDuel set the Cardinals-Bears odds for Sunday afternoon.

Why The Cardinals Could Cover The Spread

The Cardinals really should have no issue covering this spread, regardless of whether Murray suits up and plays. This is arguably the top team in the NFL going up against a struggling 4-7 Bears team. The Cardinals offense ranks 10th overall in the league and the Bears defense is also 10th. That should be the matchup to watch as the Bears rely heavily on their defensive production. If the Cardinals find ways to score and the Chicago defense doesn't do their job, then this game will be a blowout. The Bears' defense is what is going to keep them close because the Cardinals also have a very good defense. They are ranked 5th and will more than likely contain the horrible Bears' offense, which is ranked 30th. Even if Murray doesn't play, Colt McCoy has done well enough to continue to play.

Why The Bears Could Cover The Spread

This is going to be a tough game to cover for the Bears. They have a real shot if McCoy is the starter for Arizona. Either way, Chicago needs to get things going offensively. It's also been a disaster of a season for an elite receiver in Allen Robinson II. He has yet to really play well this season but it's mostly due to their QB situation. Darnell Mooney is starting to play very well but that isn't enough to beat this stellar Cardinals team. They are going to need to find ways to score with Andy Dalton at QB. Expect both teams' defense to be the factor in this matchup. The Bears will need to force turnovers and if they don’t, they could lose badly once again.

Final Cardinals-Bears Prediction & Pick:

I'm taking the Cardinals to cover this spread and win the game. It shouldn't matter who the QB is, the Cardinals are just better in every stat of the game. I wouldn't think too much about this one. Take the top team in the NFL to beat a struggling team.

Final Cardinals-Bears Prediction & Pick: Cardinals -7.5 (-105)
