Week 11 of the NFL will provide us with this great AFC matchup. The Indianapolis Colts take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. It's time to continue our NFL odds series with a Colts-Bills prediction and pick.
The Indianapolis Colts are right in the middle of the pack this season. They sit at 5-5 and are coming off a close win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. The Colts have won four of their last five games and have put themselves back into playoff contention. The AFC South should be a lot closer now that the Colts are surging and the Titans are now without star Derrick Henry for the rest of the season.

The Buffalo Bills might be the top team in the AFC this season. The Tennessee Titans are 8-2 and the Bills 6-3, but we all know how good the Bills can be. Tennessee doesn't contain QB Josh Allen as the Bills do, and that should make a major difference when the playoffs loom. The Bills are fresh off of a solid 45-17 win over the New York Jets in Week 10.

Why The Colts Could Cover The Spread
The Colts are improving quickly from their rough start to the season. QB Carson Wentz is finally starting to get his groove back but he does still make careless mistakes. If those mistakes disappear then the Colts could find themselves in the playoff picture sooner rather than later. If the Colts are going to cover this spread then Wentz will need to be on top of his game. The Bills' defense is arguably the best this year and has really shut every team down.
The Colts are going to need to play almost perfectly on Sunday to come out with a win. Both sides of the ball for Buffalo can win the game for them and so it's going to take an all-out effort for 60 minutes. Indianapolis needs to control the time of possession and keep Josh Allen off the field for as long as possible. The Colts will need to feed Taylor the ball and make sure he dominates. If they can consistently move the ball and take time off the clock for the Bills, then this game will be very close. Wentz can't make those same errors against this team or it will definitely hurt them.
Why The Bills Could Cover The Spread
The Bills can clearly cover any spread they go up against this season. The Bills are more than capable of winning this game by more than a touchdown. They will need to continue to let Allen control the game and the defense to fly around. There aren't many offenses that can score on the Bills at a consistent level. The Colts do have a strong run game and so if the Bills can stop that, then they should have no issue winning this game.
Buffalo can score 40 points against anyone and have done it multiple times this season. If they can put up those types of numbers and find the endzone consistently, then this game could turn into a blowout. Josh Allen and Stephon Diggs have formed a great duo and that should be a factor in the game as well.
Final Colts-Bills Prediction & Pick
I expect the Bills to win this game by multiple scores. The Colts are playing well right now but I think it will come to a halt in Week 11. Allen is already less than 400 yards away from 3,000 passing yards on the season. Allen will more than likely attempt to surpass 3k on Sunday and if he does so, then most signs will lead toward a comfortable win. I think there will be a good amount of points scored on both sides on Sunday. I like the over in this game also as both teams are playing well offensively right now.
