If someone told collectors 10 years ago that Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) will soon become a rising trend in the hobby, absolutely no one will take it at face value. Turns out, it is among the many paths card collecting has progressed to as the industry adapts to changing times. Of course, Panini is one of the brands leading the way towards NFT collectibles and their rise in the industry.

And that they just did. Just recently, Panini entered into an agreement with the National Football League (NFL) to release NFT trading packs starting on December 1. These packs will allow avid football fans to chase NFTs of their favorite stars and add them to their digital collection.

At the time of their release soon, these NFT trading cards will take on the form of Panini's Mosaic set. Other brands, such as their flagship Prizm and Optic sets, are scheduled to be released early next year.

In a statement, Joe Ruggiero, SVP of Consumer Products for the NFL, said that the recent resurgence of trading cards has led to the release of NFT packs with Panini. He added that they are looking forward to their partnership with the card company to help create another touchpoint of engagement for football fans.

For their part, Mark Warsop, Panini America CEO, said that the NFT marketplace has exploded during the past few months and the addition of NFL NFT cards will make it more vibrant. He added that the company is excited about the potential of this venture.

These NFL NFT trading card packs will soon be released on Panini's blockchain platform. Collectors can avail of these digital products in pack format or as individual cards. In any case, this will be a very interesting development for those in the hobby as exciting changes are coming sooner than later.
