Tuesday evening the NFL released the rosters for the 2019 Pro Bowl. There are some surprises, but not too many. The league does an excellent job of rewarding the best players in the league with an invite.

The newest staple of the pro-bowl is Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The second-year quarterback has taken the league by storm and will likely break Peyton Manning's season touchdown record. His ability to prance out of the pocket and land darts anywhere across the field is only matched by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He is the next latest and greatest quarterback to hit the gridiron.

The Chiefs along with Mahomes have six Pro-Bowlers, including offensive weapons Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.

The Los Angeles Chargers have the most pro-bowlers out of any NFL team with seven. Philip Rivers, Keenan Allen, and Melvin Gordon highlight a group of players that made the team.

The Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers each have six Pro-Bowlers. The Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears each have five Pro-Bowlers. Surprisingly, the Bears have four defensive pro-bowlers and one kick-returner, showing their defensive prowess.

There are only five teams that have just one pro-bowl selection. This includes defensive lineman Geno Atkins of the Cincinnati Bengals, defensive back Jalen Ramsey of the Jacksonville Jaguars, running back Xavien Howard of the Miami Dolphins, defensive back Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals, and wideout Darius Slay of the Detroit Lions.

The 2019 Pro-Bowl takes place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. EST.
