This is the second season that former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been without a job in the league due to the stigma that been strongly around him over entire stance with kneeling during the national anthem to bring attention to social injustice in the country.

However, it appears that Kaepernick could be soon back in the NFL as he attorney, Mark Geragos, hinted to TMZ Sports that Kaepernick could have a new deal in place to be back in the league with possibly the Oakland Raiders or New England Patriots.

“I would just say, ‘Stay tuned' … that next week there may be some news…I got two other teams that will remain nameless. I'll say this … if Al Davis was still alive. That's all I am going to say.”

The second clue that was given out about the Patriots was a little more obscure as he referenced team owner Robert Kraft a bit more vaguely as mentioned him as the person who visited rapper Meek Mill while he was still in prison. What should also be noted that Raiders owner Mark Davis had recently stated that he was happy for the 30-year-old to get the support of Nike with the use of advertisement.

This may be him pushing for his client, but it is clear that Kaepernick has a desire to get back in the league at some point in time over the last two seasons. He has continued that effort by working out over the offseason while staying shape to be able to get the opportunity to revive his NFL career that was abruptly paused.

Kaepernick clearly has the talent to be a quarterback in the league, but it has been the lack of any true opportunity to get back aside from the Seattle Seahawks. Time will tell if that chance will come again in the near future.
