The Green Bay Packers are one of three teams targeting free-agent tight end Delanie Walker, according to John Keim of ESPN.com. The Washington Redskins and Indianapolis Colts represent the other interested parties.

Walker was released by the Tennessee Titans last week after spending the last seven years with the club.

The 35-year-old is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played just seven games due to a season-ending ankle injury, marking the second year in a row that a leg injury cut Walker's season short.

During the time he was on the field this past year, Walker logged 21 catches for 215 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Walker, who played his collegiate football at Central Missouri State, was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round (175th pick overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.

He spent the first seven years of his career with the 49ers, but wasn't utilized all that much, with his most productive campaign in San Francisco coming in 2012 when he caught 21 passes for 344 yards and three scores.

That ensuing offseason, Delanie Walker signed with the Titans, where he immediately flourished.

In his first season in Tennessee, the Pomona, Ca. native snared 60 balls for 571 yards while reaching the end zone six times, and in 2014, Walker registered 63 grabs for 890 yards and four touchdowns.

He then had the best year of his NFL career in 2015, hauling in 94 receptions for 1,088 yards and six scores and making his first of three straight Pro Bowl appearances.

However, Walker has played in just eight games since 2018.
