Veteran cornerback Bashaud Breeland has had a busy month or so. He’s visited a handful of teams, including the Raiders, Chiefs, Ravens, Browns, and most recently the Patriots, but has yet to sign. However, the free-agent corner does have options in terms of his next destination.

Per Josina Anderson of ESPN:

Ravens have kept tabs on Bashaud Breeland. The free agent CB is expecting follow-ups from Baltimore and the #Patriots, who I'm told expressed intentions to reach back out this weekend. Raiders are continuously in contact as well, per source. We will see, what leads to what…

Breeland has yet to catch on with another team after his contract with the Carolina Panthers was voided due to a failed physical. The 26-year-old was a starter during his four-year stay with the Washington Redskins. He played 60 out of a possible 64 games (58 starts) and had eight interceptions, 268 tackles, and seven forced fumbles.

Breeland will likely serve more of a backup role in Baltimore, who have a deep cornerback group led by Jimmy Smith, Marlon Humphrey, Tavon Young, Brandon Carr and Anthony Averett.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are similarly set at the starting cornerback spots but could use a more capable backup to Stephon Gilmore and Jason McCourty. Eric Rowe and Cyrus Jones are both expected to play some snaps.

As for the Raiders, they continue to find additional depth at corner despite already adding several veterans via free agency. Apart from Breeland, they are also set to work out Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie sometime soon.
