Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie remains on the open market months after his release from the New York Giants. But the veteran cornerback may not be available for much longer, with two teams interested in his services.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network:

One name to keep an eye on: Former Giants CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The free agent is receiving the most interest from the Seahawks, but the Chargers are in the mix as well, given their recent CB injury.

The Chargers have an obvious opening at cornerback after starter Jason Verrett was lost for the season due to a torn Achilles. They could use an experienced corner like DRC, especially since Casey Hayward is their only corner currently on the roster with over five years of experience.

As for the Seahawks, they are still reconstructing a secondary which has just about moved on from the Legion of Boom era. They currently have Justin Coleman, Byron Maxwell, Shaquill Griffin, Dontae Johnson, and Neiko Thorpe on their depth chart.

Rodgers-Cromartie, 32, spent the past four seasons with the Giants. He played 61 games (45 starts) for Giants during that time and recorded 11 interceptions with 193 tackles.

However, DRC's coming off one of the least productive seasons of his career in 2017. He saw his role in the New York secondary reduced significantly as he started just six games in 15 appearances with zero picks.

A 10-year NFL veteran and two-time Pro Bowler, Rodgers-Cromartie has also spent time with the Cardinals, Eagles, and Broncos. He received interest from the Saints and Redskins earlier this offseason and also hinted at a possible return to New York, but nothing came of those links.
