Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III and Las Vegas Raiders offensive lineman Gabe Jackson are two names that have come up in trade talks recently, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Once a top prospect and rookie phenom, Griffin is nothing more than a backup at this point.

He made seven appearances and one start for the Ravens in 2019, completing 23 of his 38 passes for 225 yards, a touchdown and a couple of interceptions.

Griffin has spent the last two years backing up Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.

Of course, the 30-year-old is most known for his time with the Washington Redskins, who took him with the second overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft and watched him start 15 games and lead the team to an NFC East title during his rookie campaign after throwing for 3,200 yards, 20 touchdowns and five picks.

However, a knee injury that Griffin suffered during those playoffs hijacked what could have been a successful career, and Griffin hasn't been the same since.

He spent four seasons with the Redskins overall before being cut in March 2016, when he proceeded to link up with the Cleveland Browns.

The Baylor product joined the Ravens in 2018.

Meanwhile, Jackson has spent the first six years of his career with the Raiders after being taken by the club in the third round (81st pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The 28-year-old, who has played both guard positions for the Raiders, appeared in just 11 contests this past season due to a knee injury.

Neither Griffin nor Jackson have guaranteed contracts for 2020.
