Veteran cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was involved in an altercation at an Atlanta airport after an airport employee attacked him.

Per TMZ, the employee-Frank Ragin-apparently made a gesture at Jones while the NFL star was walking through the airport with a female companion, which sparked the altercation.

According to police, Ragin cut Jones’ face with a punch and also injured the hand of Jones’ female companion. Ragin the fell to the ground when Jones started to defend himself.

Police determined that Ragin was the primary aggressor, and he was arrested on two counts of battery. Jones and his companion declined medical attention while Ragin was taken to the hospital.

Pacman, 34, remains a free agent after parting ways with the Cincinnati Bengals, with whom he spent the past eight seasons. After missing just two games over the past five years, Jones played just nine games last season due to a groin injury which landed him on injured reserve. He recorded 23 tackles, one interception, and four passes defended in those nine games.

While he wasn't adjudged to be the guilty party in this particular incident, Jones does have a checkered history when it comes to off the field issues over the course of his career. He was infamously out of the league for one season following a report that he was alleged to have ordered a shooting outside a strip club in Atlanta in 2007.

More recently, Jones was suspended for the first game of last season after an altercation in January 2017 which led to him pleading guilty to a misdemeanor obstruction assault charge.
