Former NFL pass rusher Elvis Dumervil has one of the more prolific defensive players during his professional tenure. Suiting up for the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers before hanging up his cleats back in 2017, Dumervil now believes that his legacy will ultimately lead him to Canton, Ohio en route to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

After spending the majority of his NFL career split between the Broncos and Ravens, Dumervil notably retired as a member of the aforementioned 49ers upon spending only the 2017 campaign in San Francisco.

Not shy during his recent sit-down with TMZ Sports, Dumervil also touched on the recent traded that took place between two of his former teams in the Ravens and Broncos.

“It's a big gamble — definitely desperate, no doubt,” Dumervil told TMZ Sports. “I think Joe Flacco needs an offensive guru. I don't think he really had that in Baltimore. … I do feel that if he doesn't have a coach who can coach him — the Sean Paytons, the Josh McDaniels, these kind of guys — he's going to fail miserably in Denver. I think Elway is seeking to try to do the same — he did a genius move with Peyton Manning. Unfortunately, Joe Flacco is no Peyton Manning.”

Originally a fourth-round NFL Draft pick by the Broncos all the way back in 2006 out of Louisville, Elvis Dumervil went on to register 365 total tackles and 105.5 sacks over the course of 162 career regular season appearances in all. However, he only recorded more than 10 sacks in a season once.
