The Seattle Kraken are this much closer to kicking off their career as an NHL team. On Wednesday, the NHL expansion draft took place and the Kraken finally got to put players on their roster. Fans were excited, the city was excited, and the NHL was excited after working for years to finalize and put the new franchise in motion.

The Kraken kicked things off by taking Jeremy Lauzon from the Boston Bruins with their first pick of the expansion draft.

The Kraken were excited to add Lauzon and then followed it up by taking Will Borger with the second pick of the NHL expansion draft.

However, the best pick of the night came later on and the Kraken did so in hilarious fashion. Just watch for yourselves.

What a way to make the pick and the Kraken are already become one of the more popular teams before even making an appearance on the ice.

The Kraken debuted their jerseys as well, and they look absolutely gorgeous.

The Kraken are filling out the rest of their roster in the expansion draft and the new NHL season will begin in October with the Kraken joining the Pacific Division.

Get ready, Seattle and the NHL have been waiting for this!
