Why The Golden Knights Can Cover The Spread/Win

The Vegas Golden Knights are in a must-win scenario now as they are slowly falling further behind the Stars for the last wild-card position in the West. However, the good news for the Knights is that captain Mark Stone will be traveling with the team to Vancouver, showing that he's a game-time decision to make a much-needed return. Starting in goal for the Knights will more than likely be Robin Lehner, who is dealing with a lingering injury of his own. Although he's missed some time this season, Lehner has a .909 save percentage while allowing 2.76 goals against throughout 41 games played. He'll look to give his team the extra confidence boose tonight as they need to win this game in order to stay in playoff contention.

Why The Canucks Can Cover The Spread/Win

The Vancouver Canucks have been one of the hardest teams to score against throughout the league ever since they brought in Bruce Boudreau to be their head coach. Over 43 games, the Canucks have allowed just 2.58 goals against per game. Most of that credit can go to goaltender Thatcher Demko, who will be looking to get the starting nod tonight. He's currently holding a .917 save percentage while allowing 2.64 goals against per game. He'll look to keep the Canucks in this game as they aren't quite out of the playoff race just yet.

Final Golden Knights-Canucks Prediction & Pick

Both of these teams are in a must-win scenario if they want any shot at seeing the post-season. With that said, I expect this to be a playoff-type of a game tonight, which means there will be a lot of penalty calls that are let go simply because of the intensity of the game. With that said, fewer penalties means fewer goals, so give me the under this matchup. While I hate taking unders just in general, both of these goaltenders are certainly capable of keeping their teams in this game, and I expect it to be a low-scoring kind of game.

Final Golden Knights-Canucks Prediction and Pick: Under 6 (-110)
