Chicago Bears quarterback Nick Foles had a rather uncharacteristic press conference following his team's impressive 23-16 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. The 31-year-old has been known for his calm and collected demeanor during interviews, but it was actually quite the opposite for Foles on Monday night.

Foles was clearly delighted with how his team performed against the Panthers, and the star QB had nothing but good things to say about his teammates after the victory:

“The more you play, the more you play with these guys, the more you grind out these wins and get to know each other, I’m excited” Foles said, via Cam Ellis of NBC Sports. “I am hitting a little bit of adrenaline right now … I think it’s the conversations in the locker room with my teammates.”

Foles then went on to describe how he sees something special in this group. The Bears are now 5-1 to start the season, and for his part, he believes that this is just the beginning for them.

The QB admitted that he was feeling a bit giddy after what he considered to be a huge win, and Foles provided an explanation as to why this is the case:

“I think I’m just excited because I think we got a little bit better tonight,” he said. ‘I feel like we’re figuring out who we want to be. And that excites me. I think the conversations after the game in the locker room juiced me up and got me excited because we’re not just sitting there happy with winning. And that excites me about this with these guys.

“I can’t wait to take a nap on the plane.”

Nick Foles went 23-of-39 on his passes against the Panthers for a 198-yard gain. He had another impressive performance, and he certainly deserves that nap.
