Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban defended his former wide receiver Jerry Jeudy after there was some talk surrounding a knee injury, which wasn't previously reported. In an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Saban said there is nothing wrong with Jeudy and added he never missed practice while he was with Alabama.

“Well, first of all, Jerry Jeudy has nothing wrong with him,” Saban said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Absolutely nothing. He never missed practice here. He played in every game. Played in a bowl game when he didn’t have to play. Practiced every day for the bowl game. So that’s completely false.”

Back in 2018, Jeudy suffered a knee injury in the spring and there were some teams who expressed concerns about it according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.

At the Combine, 2 teams expressed concern about the left knee of Bama WR Jerry Jeudy. Dr. Lyle Cain wrote a letter to all 32 teams detailing a previous surgery & saying “Jeudy has not required any treatment” on it and Cain expects him to progress “without limitations.”

Each team does their own research on each player, so what team might think is a problem, isn't a problem for another franchise. Even with the knee injury, Jeudy is going to be one of the first wide receivers off the board, and if somehow he fell to the second round, it would be among the biggest talking points coming out of Thursday night.

If Jeudy can stay healthy, he has all the makings of a star wide receiver.
